First Thoughts:

Cutie Pie: I liked it a lot. The story line is awesome. It isn't one of my favorite books, but I really liked it. 

Cutie Pie #2: It was okay.

What is this book about?

Cutie Pie: The story is about a girl getting a doll for her birthday, so she uses her robot parts and presto, the best baby robot is born. 

Cutie Pie #2: Well, she is very smart and for her birthday she gets a dolly and she makes it so it can talk more.

What was your favorite part of the story?

Cutie Pie: No.

Cutie Pie #2: I don't have one.

Why did you like it/why don't you have one?

Cutie Pie: Because it was all fantastic.

Cutie Pie: Nope, I liked it all.

I checked this book out from the library because both of my girls have been showing a lot of interest in Robotics and Coding, so I thought this would be a great book for us to read together. They apparently didn't enjoy the story as much as I thought they would. But overall, I still think it is a great story that shows a strong and smart girl who loves technology.
Like I stated before, this story is about a girl named Charlotte, who is very tech-savvy. She loves tinkering around and building gadgets, coding, and more. Then one day, Charlotte's mother gives her a present, a new doll.
I think that Doll-E 1.0 is a very creative story. I haven't read anything quite like it. I think it is a great way to show girls how technology can be fun. I love how smart the main character is and think it is a great character for girls to read about. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend giving it a read.
