Let's Build A Fan Cast: Throne of Glass-Nominations

Hello everyone! 

For the month of September and for the very first Let's Build A Fan Cast, we are going to cast THRONE OF GLASS!

So it has been a little bit since I read Throne of Glass so I am hoping I got most of the main characters. There is a spot on the form that you can add a character and your nomination for that character. And then I will go back and add it to the form so others can nominate too.

Also, I haven't read Crown of Midnight yet. I plan on reading it soon, since my Pre-order of Heir of Fire has shipped! *happy dance*

So as a reminder this is what I plan on us doing:

• I have created a Google Form that you will find down below with some of the main characters from the book. 
• Answer under the character name with the name of the actor/actress that you nominate to Fan Cast.
• You could also create your own blog post with your nominations and link it up to the nomination post in the comments. 
• After about two weeks I will take the nominations (either all of them or the top 5 for each character depending on how many different nominations there are) and create a voting poll so everyone can vote for their favorites.

I plan to keep the form open for nominations until the end of the night on Saturday, September 13th. 

So that gives you two weeks to get your nominations in.

I will open the poll for voting on the nominations on Monday, September 15th. 

Voting will remain open for 2 weeks, ending Monday, September 29th.

Introducing: Let's Build A Fan Cast

So I really enjoy making Fan Casts, but sometimes I have a hard time coming up with that perfect person I think would bring that character to life the best.

Then I was singing "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" in my head and I thought to myself:
"Do you wanna build a Fan Cast?"

After doing some looking around online (Special thanks to Cassie @ My Thoughts Literally for helping me!) we found that The Selective Collective does a Fan Cast feature, I emailed some of the bloggers that are a part of the group and Brittany (The Book Addict's Guide) and Kristina (Gone Pecan) gave me the go ahead, so I am going to share my idea with all of you!

• Each month I will pick (sometimes there might be a poll for the next book to fan cast) a book and I will make a post with what book we will be fan casting along with a Google form for you to nominate your pick for each character.
• You could also create your own blog post with your nominations and link it up to the nomination post in the comments. 
• After about two weeks I will take the nominations (either all of them or the top 5 for each character depending on how many different nominations there are) and create a voting poll so everyone can vote for their favorites.
• After the voting period, I will take the winners and create the fan cast and post the list on the blog. 

I really think this will be a lot of fun.

Since Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3) by Sarah J. Maas will be released September 2nd, our first Let's Build A Fan Cast will be Throne of Glass. So start thinking of your nominations, the form will open Saturday, August 30th!

Shatter Me Series Fan Cast

Today, I am going to share my Fan Cast for Shatter Me Trilogy (Shatter Me, Unravel Me, and Ignite Me) by Tahereh Mafi.

This is pretty much how I pictured them in my head as I read the series.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone Fan Cast

This is my fan cast for Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor.

So I have been thinking about which actors best represent how I picture these characters in my mind. And it has been a bit tough (I'm having a really hard time having a dream cast for the chimaera characters) but here are some that come close that I have found so far:

Karou: Mary Elizabeth Winstead

I had a really hard time finding someone to pick for Karou and I am not sure that this is really how I picture her in my head. Who would you pick for Karou?

Yes, I know Liraz is supposed to have light hair, but I can't help it, I specifically pictured Jaimie in my head when I read both books in the series. And I haven't been able to picture a different person yet.

Brimstone: I think that whoever does the voice for Brimstone's character needs to have a deep voice. Just my thoughts. I just couldn't think of anyone whose voice I really wanted to be Brimstone. Suggestions?

Of Poseidon Fan Cast

I really enjoy making Fan Casts for favorite books. I just feel it is a way to share how I picture the characters when I read the story. Of course, most of the time I can't find how I REALLY picture the characters, but rather actors/actresses that I feel are pretty close.

Unremembered Fan Cast

I know that some might be too old/young to play the parts. Or not have the right color eyes and be too tall/short or whatever. 

After looking around the internet (for days...) these are some of the actors and actresses that I thought most represented the way that I saw the characters in my head.

Like I mentioned at the beginning, it might not be a perfect fan cast, but they are pretty close to what I pictured in my head for the characters while reading.

Lunar Chronicles Fan Cast

I have been putting a lot of though into which actors and actresses I would pick to portray the characters in Marissa Meyer's The Lunar Chronicles series.

Some of them were more difficult to pick than others, but here are the people that I thought most looked like how I picture the characters in my head when I am reading. Or even thinking or dreaming about them.

Cinder: Jamie Chung

I first saw Jamie Chung in a mini series on ABC Family several years ago called Samurai Girl. And more recently she portrays Mulan on Once Upon a Time.

Prince/Emperor Kai: Harry Shum Jr.

I love Harry Shum Jr. I love him on Glee. I think he is very talented!

Scarlet: Molly Quinn

I love Molly Quinn too! She is excellent on Castle!

Wolf: Ryan Guzman

This pick was a little more difficult for me. I couldn't think of anyone that really looked like Wolf does in my head. I picked Ryan Guzman because I think he kinda does. He just needs a little bit more facial hair and a little bit of longer hair, like to fall into his eyes or something.

Thorne and Cress: Flynn Ryder and Rapunzel

I can't help it. There are some times when I read, this is how I picture Thorne and Cress. But it is weird because they are the only ones that look like cartoon characters...

Zachary Levi!!!

I love Zachary Levi. Seriously. He is awesome. So cute. Smart. Funny. Loved him in Chuck. I love him in Remember Sunday. And I obviously love him in Tangled!!!

Thorne: Sam Claflin

Since Zachary Levi is probably too old to be Thorne, Sam is a good second. I really liked him in Catching Fire and I think he could do the smirks and be a lady's man.

I love like everything that has Kristen Bell! I love her as Veronica Mars. Love her in Frozen. I have seen at least 7 movies she has been in, some of the simply because she was in them. I think she is funny and she can be sarcastic and snarky. I think she could do a good job as Iko's voice.

Queen Levana: Charisma Carpenter

This is another character that it took me a while to decide on someone. And it is mostly because I picture her to look kinda like Charisma. I have seen her in a lot of stuff. And she can be pretty good at portraying someone evil. 

Sybil: Torrey DeVitto

This one was I think the most difficult for me. I don't know why, but I haven't really pictured her clearly in my head when I read. So I think Torrey is an option. 

Dr. Erland: Dustin Hoffman

I am not sure why, but when I read about Dr. Erland I seriously picture him to look like Dustin Hoffman. And in the scenes when he is losing his mind, I picture him from when he was in Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Maybe I am weird...but that is how I picture him.

And while I was looking up Dustin Hoffman. I came across someone else I thought could play Wolf. His son. Jake Hoffman
