Continuing onto ABC network.

You can find ABC's full fall schedule here. They have their schedule available as a PDF that you can download if you choose to do so.

There are several shows that I am looking forward to on ABC.

Mondays:

Castle: Season 6 premieres September 23rd

I am happy that Castle is going to be starting back up. I love this show. I am a fan of Nathan Fillion. In case some of you haven't finished season 5, I will not post any spoilers, but I am looking forward to some questions being answered and what is going to happen next.

This show is about a crime novel writer following a detective around on her cases. He helps solves murders.

This show will follow Shield agents as they handle strange cases involving superhumans.

Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson
Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May
Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward
Chloe Bennet as Skye
Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz
Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons

Wednesday:

Super Fun Night: Premieres October 2nd

This is about a junior attorney and her two best friends that ALWAYS hang out on Friday nights. They have done this for the last 13 years and they even call it "Friday Night Fun Night". But when she gets a work promotion and meets the dashing British attorney, things get complicated.

Kevin Bishop as Richard Lovell
Kate Jenkinson as Kendall Quinn

Thursday:

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland: Premieres October 10th

A Once Upon a Time (OUAT) telling of Alice and the strange land on the other side of the rabbit hole. I am a OUAT fan. I really enjoy watching the show, so I am interested in watching this show. I am just torn between watching it and The Big Bang Theory which I am already invested in. But I do think this show looks interesting. And if nothing else, I do want to watch the episodes online.

Sophie Lowe as Alice
Michael Socha as The Knave of Hearts
Peter Gadiot as Cyrus
Emma Rigby as The Red Queen
John Lithgow as the voice of the White Rabbit
Jonny Coyne as Dr. Lydgate
Naveen Andrews as Jafar

Iggy Pop as the voice of the Caterpillar

Grey's Anatomy: Season 10 premieres September 26th

Season 10! I have been watching this show for years. I started watching when Izzy (Katherine Heigl) was still on the show, and she left the show in season 6. But anyways.

This show is about a group of doctors and their lives. Focus heavily on their lives...and drama. But I like it. If you have never seen it, then you would definitely have a lot of catching up to do. There are things that would probably be confusing.

Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey
Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd
Sandra Oh as Christina Yang
Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery
Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey
Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt
Justin Chambers as Alex Karev
Sarah Drew as April Kepner
Jessica Capshaw as Arizona Robbins
Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres
James Pickens Jr. as Richard Webber

Scandal: Season 3 premieres October 3rd

This show is also created by the creator of Grey's Anatomy.
I started watching at the end of season 1. I watched season 1 on Netflix then started watching season 2 on TV.
The reason I didn't originally start watching the show? The main character has an affair with the President of the US. And I am REALLY not big on affairs and betrayals.

But I also feel that the show doesn't exactly FOCUS on the affair, it is just part of the story. Which is why I have continued to watch it. And also why, I actually do enjoy the show.

This show is about Olivia Pope and her crisis management firm. They protect the lives of the elite people that hire them. The show focuses on the cases, and the lives of the people in Olivia Pope's life.

Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope
Columbus Short as Harrison
Darby Stanchfield as Abby
Katie Lowes as Quinn
Guillermo Diaz as Huck
Tony Goldwyn as President Grant (Aka Fitz)
Bellamy Young as First Lady Melody Grant
Joshua Malina as David
Dan Bucatinsky as Cyrus

Sunday:

Once Upon a Time: Season 3 premieres September 29th

I have been watching this show since season 1. I really enjoy it. It is a different take on fairy tales.

Basically the Evil Queen cast a curse that made the characters that lived in the Enchanted Forest get sent to a different realm (Earth/our world). And they cannot remember their fairy tale self. There are a lot of flashbacks in this show, that shows what happened in the Enchanted Forest and character back story.

I really enjoy this show.

Ginnifer Goodwin as Mary-Margaret Blanchard/Snow White
Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan
Lana Parrilla as Regina Mills/The Evil Queen
Josh Dallas as David Nolan/Prince Charming
Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills
Robert Carlyle as Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin/The Beast/The Crocodile
Emilie de Ravin as Lacey/Belle

This is no where near all of the characters in the show, but some of the main cast.

Revenge: Season 3 premieres September 29th

This is a show that I feel you really need to watch from the beginning to understand everything that is going on. I have been watching it from the beginning.

It is a soap opera type show, with some mystery. The only reason I started watching it is because it has Emily VanCamp, and I loved her in Everwood  and Brothers and Sisters.

The show follows Emily's revenge on the people who were responsible for her father's death.

Madeleine Stowe as Victoria Grayson
Emily VanCamp as Emily Thorne
Gabriel Mann as Nolan Ross
Henry Czerny as Conrad Grayson
Ashely Madekwe as Ashley Davenport
Nick Wechsler as Jack Porter
Josh Bowman as Daniel Grayson
Barry Sloane as Aiden Mathis
Connor Paolo as Declan Porter
Christa B. Allen as Charlotte Grayson

Mid-Season:

The mid-season show I am interested in is:

Resurrection:  Premieres March 9, 2014

This show is about dead people that are coming back to life. It is based on the book, The Returned by Jason Mott.

I think it sounds interesting. I am looking forward to when it premieres next year!

Devin Kelley as Gail Garland
Frances Fisher as Lucille Garland
Kurtwood Smith as Harold Garland
Landon Gimenez as Jacob Garland
Mark Hildreth as Tom Hild
Matt Craven as Fred Garland

TV shows Fall 2013 (CBS)

Continuing my look at the 2013 Fall TV Shows, we will be looking at CBS. Obviously, I do not have enough time to watch every show on every network, so I have picked out shows that I find interesting and would like to watch.

You can find the CBS complete Fall Schedule here.

Mondays:

How I Met Your Mother- Season 9 (and final season) premieres September 23rd

I really enjoy HIMYM! I have watched all the episodes many times, and have all but season 8 on DVD. I really thought that last season was going to be it, but it got renewed one last time for a 9th and final season. We will finally "meet" the mother and see how the series ends. 9 seasons is a long time to drag something like that out, but seriously, if we would have met the mother already what would the show be about? That's right, nothing, it would be over.
I think some people think the show should have ended a while ago, but I still laugh. And I still really enjoy watching the show. I love the actors/actresses! I love the characters! I love Marshall and Lilly! I am excited to watch the new season.

The show is about a group of friends. It follows the main character, Ted, and his quest to find a woman to marry. We follow the lives of all the friends including their friendship, relationships, and jobs. There are A LOT of flashbacks (pretty much every episodes....don't think I can think of one that doesn't have one). And I love the set up. The flashbacks can be pretty fun. Plus we have Robin Sparkles! (Those are some of my FAVORITE episodes!!!)

Josh Radnor as Ted Mosby
Alyson Hannigan as Lilly Aldrin
Jason Segal as Marshall Eriksen
Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson
Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky

We Are Men- Premieres September 30th

I am not really that interested in watching this show, but since it is coming on in between shows that I do plan on watching, I will probably go ahead and at least try the pilot episode.

This show is about recently left at the alter, Carter, who moves into a short-rental apartment and makes friends with three older divorced men.

Kal Penn as Gil Bartis
Chris Smith as Carter Thomas
Jerry O'Connell as Stuart Strickland
Tony Shalhoub as Frank Russo

2 Broke Girls-  Season 3 premieres September 23rd

This show follows the lives of two financially poor roommates that work at a diner, trying to make enough money to start their own cupcake business. Max makes the cupcakes and already worked at the diner, and Caroline, was wealthy but loses all her money and goes to the diner to get a job, where she meets Max.

Overall, I like the show. I have watched the past two seasons. But for me the sexual jokes can sometimes be too much. They make these jokes all the time, and I find that it can sometimes be a bit too much for me. Some of the jokes can be funny, but there are some that cross the line for me. So if you have not seen the show and do not like crude humor, you might want to stay clear of this show.

Obviously there are people that enjoy this show and the humor, otherwise it wouldn't be on season 3 right now. I do plan on watching the season, because I do like the story line.

Kat Dennings as Max Black
Beth Behrs as Caroline Channing
Garrett Morris as Earl
Jonathan Kite as Oleg
Matthew Moy as Han Lee
Jennifer Coolidge as Sophie Kachinsky

Mom- Premieres September 23rd

Since this TV show was created in part by Chuck Lorre, I am going to give the show a try and see if I like it.

The show is about a single mother that is battling alcoholism. She goes to California's Napa Valley to restart her life.

Anna Faris as Christy
Allison Janney as Bonnie
Sadie Calvano as Violet
Blake Garrett Rosenthal as Roscoe
Nate Corddry as Gabriel
Spencer Daniels as Luke
Matt Jones as Baxter
French Stewart as Rudy

Hostages- Premieres September 23rd

I think that this show could be interesting, but unfortunately I don't think I will be watching it when it comes on, because it is in the same time slot as Castle, which I have been watching for several years now. I will probably try and watch it online, if CBS decides to put the episodes up.

This show is about the doctor that is supposed to be doing surgery on the President of the United states gets taken hostage by a rogue FBI agent. The agent wants her to assassinate the President in return of keeping her family safe.

Toni Collette as Ellen Sanders
Dylan McDermott as Duncan Carlisle
Tate Donovan as Brian Sanders
Quinn Shephard as Morgan Sanders
Mateus Ward as Jake Sanders
James Naughton as President Paul Kincaid

Thursdays:

The Big Bang Theory- Season 7 Premieres September 26th

This show is about a bunch of friends that are nerds. Then a pretty girl moves across the hall and they become friends with her as well. It follows the lives of the friends with their relationships, friendships and their jobs. I started watching this show during the second season. Although I have watched all the episodes several times. I find this show pretty funny. I enjoy watching it a lot.

I am excited for the new season!

Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter
Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper
Kaley Cuoco as Penny
Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz
Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh "Raj" Koothrappali
Melissa Rauch as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz
Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler

\The Crazy Ones- Premieres September 26th

Now the only reason why I am interested in this show is because Sarah Michelle Gellar is in it and as I have stated before I=big Buffy fan!

Looks like I am going to have a hard decision to make in terms of what I am going to watch on Thursday nights in my 8/7 time slot. ABC is having Once Upon a Time in Wonderland at the same time as The Big Bang Theory and The Crazy Ones.

This show is a workplace comedy. It focuses on an advertising agency. The boss is partners with his daughter (who is his complete opposite). He is crazy and unpredictable while she is organized and focused.

Robin Williams as Simon Roberts
Sarah Michelle Gellar as Sydney Roberts
James Wolk as Zach Cropper
Amanda Setton as Lauren Slotsky
Hamish Linklater as Andrew Keanelly

Elementary- Season 2 Premieres September 26th

Again, I have another decision to make for the 10/9 time slot on Thursdays, since ABC will have Scandal during this time. And I have a feeling Scandal is going to win. So I will try and watch this show either online, or wait and watch it when it comes out next year.

I do enjoy this show, and I find the cases interesting, but I wouldn't say that it is a favorite (favorite in my terms, a show that I can watch the same episodes more than once). But if there are no other shows on at this time slot that you want to watch and you like crime solving. Then I do recommend that you give this show a try.

This show is a modern Sherlock Holmes show. Sherlock is a recovering drug addict in the show and he helps the NYC police solve crimes (mainly murders).

Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes
Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson
Aidan Quinn as Captain Thomas Gregson
Jon Michael Hill as Detective Marcus Bell

TV Shows- Fall 2013 (FOX)

I am excited that the Fall TV shows will be starting back up really soon. FOX is the first network (out of ABC, CBS, NBC, the CW and FOX) that will have their shows starting. FOX has showing starting this week!!! See the schedule here.

Let me just start by saying I love watching a variety of different TV series. I am a pretty open-minded person when it comes to things that I read or watch, and I like a good variety of stuff. I just enjoy using books and shows/movies as a way to escape from my life and see a different "realm". Beef (my BF) says that I am too invested in the characters from these different shows/movies/books. I talk about the characters like they are real people. So yes, I am excited. I am looking forward to a lot of new shows.

Oh, and I don't really watch reality TV shows like American Idol and The Bachelor. (Etc.)

FOX has several new shows starting this year, and some that are returning. I am only sharing the shows that I am interested in, or already watch.

Mondays

Bones- Premieres tonight, Monday September 16th

Yes!!! It starts tonight. Now I really wish that I was able to get FOX on my antenna, but I unfortunately have not been able to, so I watch the episodes when FOX posted them on their website to watch. But I am still really looking forward to Bones starting back up.

Bones is starting SEASON 9! I have been watching this show for years, I think I started watching it either during season 5 or season 6. But I have watched all the episodes via Netflix instant stream.

If you have never watched the show, and you like crime shows where the characters solve murders, then you really should give this show a try.
Emily Deschanel portrays Dr. Temperance Brennan (nick name is Bones) whom is a forensic anthropologist.
David Boreanaz portrays FBI special agent Seelely Booth.
Michaela Conlin portrays forensic artist Angela Montenegro.
T.J. Thyne portrays entomologist Dr. Jack Hodgins.
Tamara Taylor portrays pathologist Dr. Camille Saroyan
John Francis Daley portrays FBI psychologist Dr. Lance Sweets.

I do recommend this show, I really like the actors/actresses that are in this show and I think they all work together nicely. I first started watching the show because David Boreanaz is in it. (Big Angel fan) I think it is a great show.

Almost Human- Late Fall (Looks like when this premieres in late fall, Bones will be moved to Friday nights.)
Premiere date: Monday, November 4th.

One of the executive producers is J.J. Abrams.
It is set in Los Angles, 35 years into the future when the police department is paired up with human-like androids. It will focus on a detective that does not like robots. He will be paired with an emotional android.

Karl Urban as Detective John Kennex
Michael Ealy as Dorian (the emotional android)
Lili Taylor as Captainn Maldonado
Mackenzie Crook as Rudy Lom
Michael Irby as Richard Paul
Minka Kelly as Valerie Stahl

I will probably watch at least the pilot of this show to see if I would like it. But I think that from what I have read, that it looks interesting. And I do like a lot of stuff that J.J. Abrams has worked on.

Sleepy HollowPremieres tonight, Monday, September 16th.

From the little bit of what I read and have seen, the show looks interesting to me. Ichabod Crane is resurrected and is brought to the year 2013. He is brought back to solve a mystery that is linked to the founding fathers. The Headless Horseman is also here as the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The Headless Horseman is on a murder spree and Ichabod has to try and stop the horseman, and solve the mystery to save Modern Day Sleepy Hollow and the world. He works along side a cop to try and save the world.

Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane
Nicole Beharie as Abbie Mills
Orlando Jones as Captain Frank Irving
Katia Winter as Katrina Crane
John Cho as Andy Dunn
Richard Cetrone as the Headless Horseman
.
Tuesdays

Dads- Premieres Tuesday, September 17th

This show sounds like it is going to be funny. Plus, I really like Seth Green (I loved him in Buffy the Vampire Slayer). This show is about two life-long friends who have started a successful video game company together, and how their lives are changed when their fathers move in with them. One of the executive producers is Seth MacFarlane.

Giovanni Ribisi as Warner
Seth Green as Eli
Martin Mull as Crawford (Warner's Dad)
Peter Riegert as David (Eli's Dad)
Brenda Strong as Veronica (Warner and Eli's assistant)
Tonita Castro as Edna (Eli's maid)
Vanessa Lachey as Camilla (Warner's wife)

New Girl- Premieres Tuesday, September 17th

Season 3! I LOVE this show. I find it funny. I love Zooey Deschanel!

So if you have not watched this show, it is about a girl named Jess who moves into an apartment of three guys, Nick, Schmidt, and Winston. CeCe is the best friend of Jess. The show is about their lives, relationships, and friendships. I am very invested in this show. I love all the characters (and the actors/actresses do an excellent job portraying the characters) and I find the situations they get into funny. This has easily become one of my favorite shows!

Zooey Deschanel as Jess
Jake Johnson as Nick
Max Greenfield as Schmidt
Lamorne Morris as Winston
Hannah Simone as CeCe

If you have Netflix Instant Stream, season 1 is already on it and season 2 is set to start streaming tomorrow, September 17th. So if you haven't watched it, give it a try.

**And the only reason I am mentioning Netflix, is because I have Netflix Instant Stream, and it is how I catch up and watch a lot of TV series**

Thursdays

Glee- Season 5 premieres Thursday, September 26th.

I have watched Glee. And I do enjoy the show. I am not going to in depth explain the show, chances are even if you haven't seen the show, you kinda know what it is about: high school kids that sing and perform in their high school glee club. I have watched the first three seasons. I was not able to keep up with season 4 watching it online, so I thought I would have the chance to catch up with Netflix would add it to Instant Stream. Well, they haven't yet. And the DVDs are not being released until October 1st. So it looks like I will not be caught up by the premiere. So I have no idea what is going on with this season, and I haven't really read into it, because of Spoilers. I don't want to know what has happened yet.

And I am curious about what they have planned for Finn due to the passing of Cory Monteith. I did read that there will be a memorial episode, so most likely they will have Finn also die in the show. I'm sure it will be a very emotional episode.

Fridays

Enlisted- Premieres Friday, January 10th (from what I have read)

Let me tell you honestly, the only reason I want to watch this show is because Chris Lowell is in it. I LOVE him! (I am a HUGE Piz fan- Veronica Mars. And I loved Dell too- Private Practice). So yes, I am waiting to watch this show simply for Chris Lowell. But...I do like the other two brothers too. :)

This show will be about three brothers who are all in the Army on a small base located in Florida. It is supposed to be a comedy.

Geoff Stults as Staff Sergeant Pete Hill
Chris Lowell as Corporal Derrick Hill
Parker Young as Private Randy Hill

MID-SEASON:

Us & Them

I am really looking forward to this show because it stars Alexis Bledel (LOVED her in Gilmore Girls) and Jason Ritter (Loved him in Parenthood).

This show is based on British show Gavin & Stacey. It will follow the lives of Gavin and Stacey, whom have been flirting and talking online for six months and then finally decide to meet. Gavin lives in New York and Stacey lives in Pennsylvania. It is about them attempting a far distant relationship along with their complicated friends and family.

I cannot wait for this show to start, in fact I am so disappointed that it is not starting in Fall.

Alexis Bledel as Stacey
Jason Ritter as Gavin
Ashlie Atkinson as Nessa (Stacey's best friend)
Michael Ian Black as Brian (Stacey's Uncle)
Dustin Ybarra as Chris "Archie" Archuletta (Gavin's best friend)
Jane Kaczmarek as Pam (Gavin's mom)
Kurt Fuller as Michael (Gavin's dad)
Kerri Kenney as Gwen (Stacey's mom)

Welcome

This is just going to be a place for me to share my thoughts about different things that I read and watch. I enjoy most of the things I read and watch, so I am interested in trying some new stuff.

I enjoy reading Young Adult books. My favorites from the past few years are:

  1. Hunger Games Trilogy written by Suzanne Collins
  2. Divergent and Insurgent written by Veronica Roth (I am REALLY excited for the release of Allegiant on October 22nd!)
  3. Warm Bodies written by Isaac Marion
  4. Cinder written by Marissa Meyer (I haven't read Scarlet yet, I keep putting it off because the third one won't be coming out until next year.)
  5. The Selection and The Elite written by Kiera Cass
  6. The Delirium Trilogy (Delirium, Pandemonium and Requiem) written by Lauren Oliver
These are not the only books that I like, just a few of the most recent books that I have read.

I LOVE reading! I go through phases, where I will read a lot for a while, then I will take a week or so off and not really read that many books. Instead, I will turn my attention to some other things (like crafting, I enjoy making crafts).

I watch a lot of different TV shows. And I love watching movies.

This is my first blog where I share my thoughts and review things. I am usually the person that reads other people's reviews and I haven't written any of my own yet. I am trying to get out of my shell about caring too much about what everyone thinks about my opinion. It doesn't really matter if people agree with you all the time.

So, if you do leave a comment, just know, I am not really good with debating about opinions, but I'm working on it.

So welcome. :)
