This is my first Armchair BEA.
Introduction:
Please tell us a little bit about yourself:
Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?
Where in the world are you blogging from?
Hi! *waves* I'm Stephanie. I am in my late 20's and the mom of two beautiful girls: Cutie Pie: 7 years old and Pooh Bear: 3 years old.
I haven't been blogging very long. I started my blog near the end of last year, but didn't start seriously blogging until about February 2014. I started my blog because one of my favorite hobbies has ALWAYS been reading, and I don't have many people in my life that read the same books as me, so I decided to start a blog as a way to connect with others that read what I love to read.
I am blogging from Florida. (The hot, sunshine...but it rains a lot...state).
What was your favorite book read last year?
What’s your favorite book so far this year? What a tough question. I have several favorite books from last year and this.
Last year a couple of my favorite reads include:
Cinder and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
Under the Never Sky and Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi.
Favorites so far this year (that have been released this year) include:
Cress by Marissa Meyer
Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi
The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski,
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch.
(Also Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and Smoke and Bone by Leigh Bardugo)
Spread the love by naming your favorite
blogs/bloggers (doesn’t necessarily have to be book blogs/bloggers).
BooksyDaisy, The Book Addict's Guide, My Thoughts...Literally!, The Broke Book Girls, Oh Magic Hour, The Perpetual Page Turner, and Alexa Loves Books are just a few. There are several book blogs that I love to follow and read.

Share your favorite book or reading related
quote. I have several favorite reading quotes, and I will try to keep it to just a few:
"You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if you only dared."-Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
"I just think that some things are meant to be broken. Imperfect. Chaotic. It's the universe's way of providing contrast, you know?"- The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
And I have a TON of favorite quotes from Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch that will be out in October.
What
book would you love to see as a movie? I would LOVE to see The Lunar Chronicles books as a movie! And the Throne of Glass books.
Literature
What do you think of when you think of literature? Classics,
contemporary, genre, or something else entirely? We are leaving this one up to
you to come up with and share the literature that you want to chat about the
most. Feel free to share a list of your favorites, break down your favorite
genre, feature your favorite authors, and be creative about all things
literature in general.
When I think of literature, I usually think of Classics. But I haven't read that many classics lately, just the ones that were required reading in High School. So instead of sharing classics, I am going to share some of my recent favorite books.
I mostly read Young Adult. And I love a lot of the sub-genres like Dystopian, Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Paranormal. And I have been recently been reading more Contemporary books too.
Here is a list of some series and books that I have just loved:
1. The Lunar Chronicles (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress) by Marissa Meyer
2. Under the Never Sky trilogy by Veronica Rossi
3. Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
4. Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor
5. The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
6. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
7. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
8. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
9. NIL by Lynne Matson
10. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
11. Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

DeleteHi Stephanie! Nice to see you. My blog is pretty new too! I started it in March 2014.
ReplyDeleteDid you attend the Twitter party today? A lot of people said that they would like to see The Lunar Chronicles as a movie. I haven't read it yet. Must add it to my TBR list.
I plan on reading Attachments by Rainbow Rowell next month. I hope that it is good. I really enjoyed Eleanor & Park.
What are you looking forward to this week at #ArmchairBEA the most?
Hello! Unfortunatly, I missed today's Twitter party, but I really hope to make it to the one tomorrow!
DeleteI hope you love the series as much as I do. It is one of my absolute favorites. In fact, I gush about it and Marissa Meyer a lot. (Including in tomorrow's post).
I really need to read Eleanor & Park. I just read Landline, it was my first Rainbow Rowell book and then immediately started Attachments.
I am really looking forward to meeting new people that love the same books as me. It is fun to have someone to discuss books with! What are you looking forward to the most?
I hope you enjoy Armchair BEA too!
Thanks for stopping by! :D
That is a _great_ recently list. I have had Shadow and Bone on my TBR for way too long. I so agree on being in NYC for BEA, that would be so cool. In the meantime, though...Happy Armchair BEA, hope you have lots of fun this week.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! Thank you! I just recently read Shadow and Bone because of the re-read on GoodReads, but it was my first time reading it. I love it, I can't wait to read the rest! I hope you get to read it soon and enjoy it as much as I have!
DeleteHappy Armchair BEA to you too! I hope you also enjoy it!
Thanks for stopping by! :D
Hi Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteI have heard good things about Snow Like Ashes. I requested it but haven't been approved yet. I enjoyed reading about you! Enjoy Armchair BEA this week!

Hi Holly!
DeleteOh, I love it so much. I plan on reading it again before it comes out in October! I was extremely lucky and won an annotated ARC from Sara Raasch. I hope that you get approved soon, and enjoy it as much as I have. Then we should talk about it!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy Armchair BEA too! :D
Hi Stephanie, nice to meet you! Cinder is on my list to read, can't wait to get to it. Hope you have a fabulous Armchair BEA!
ReplyDeleteHi Chris! Oh, I hope you enjoy Cinder! I love it so much! I hope you have a wonderful Armchair BEA as well! Thank you for stopping by! :D
DeleteIt's great to meet you! I'm on the other end of the spectrum...been blogging for 10 years in February 2015. I can't even believe where the time has gone! I'm looking forward to reading Cinder. Now I just need to find my copy. This is a disturbing trend (losing books) that seems to be happening to me more often. lol
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! Time does fly by. I hope you find Cinder! And I hope that you enjoy it when you read it. :D
DeleteI loved Cinder, but have not yet taken the time to read the next two in series. My co-blogger, Danielle, is all caught up and is a huge fangirl.
ReplyDeleteIt is to meet you. I cam for BEA, but am sticking around because I love your blog.
-Flirting with Fiction
