Top Ten Tuesday #14: Freebie! Ten of My Book Boyfriends

Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Their blog can be found here.

May 27th: Freebie! Ten of My Book Boyfriends

There are so many well written book boyfriends in YA literature. And this week I want to share some of my favorites.

1. Roar- Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
I love Roar...very much. He is funny. And I love that he loves music. And he is a wonderful friend to Perry and Aria. And I sometimes I wish I could just go into the book and hug him.

2. Thorne- The Lunar Chronicles (series) by Marissa Meyer
I love Thorne so much. He is also very funny. Plus he is a captain! He has his own ship. And I think that he tries very hard to help the other characters in the book series. And, he has dreamy eyes. :D

3. Chaol- Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Chaol definitely made me feel all swoony while I read this book. He is a great character, friend, and captain of the guard. He is a wonderful protector. I really like him a lot, and look forward to reading more about him in the next books.

4. Four- Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth
(See what I did there...) Four is just pretty amazing. I found him to be strong and brave. I really like his character in the books (mostly the first 2).

5. Peeta- The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
I think Peeta is one of the first official book boyfriends that I have had. I love him in the books and I love how much he cares about Katniss. For me, Gale never stood a chance in my heart, because I really like "The Boy with the Bread".

6. Theron- Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
I adore him. He is sweet and strong.

7. Mather- Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

**I know that Snow Like Ashes isn't out yet, but I couldn't leave these boys off my list because I really like both of them for different reasons. And I don't want to elaborate since the book isn't out yet. But I do currently like one more than the other...at least for now.**

8. Day- Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
I love him in this series. He has a big heart. He cares so much for the people he loves. And I think that he is amazing.

9. Thad- NIL by Lynne Matson
Another guy that cares a lot about others. He has a big heart and is a good protector.

10. Akiva- Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor
I haven't finished the trilogy, but in the first two books I really like Akiva. (I don't think it will change). I think he is caring and kind.

Honorable Mentions:

-The Darkling: Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I have only read the first book in this series, so I am not sure that I am supposed to like The Darkling as much as I do. But, oh well. Because I really do like him.

-Wes: The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
Oh my goodness, Wes is such a great character and he would be a wonderful boyfriend. I love that he makes art. I love that he is sweet and strong.

I tried not to be too repetitive. A lot of times I end up liking the same type of person. Someone strong, with a big heart, loves and cares about others. Someone sweet. Musical or artistic.

Who are your book boyfriends? Why do you love them?

  1. I really like Four too. I think he's a great character. I've only read the first book of the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but I think The Darkling is great too...

  2. Brilliant topic! Roar, Four, Peeta and Day are totally book boyfriends of mine as well. Four was very close to the top of my list and then his whiny, sounds-just-like-Tris narrative in Allegiant really turned me off him. I just like to pretend that book never happened and love him for books 1 and 2. ROAR <3 Yes, I adore that guy. Here's my TTT, I went with my favourite mind-blowing endings.

  5. I'm in the midst of reading Scarlet and I can totally understand how Thorne is on this list. I'm getting such a kick out of him and he's already my favorite guy in this series. I adored Chaol in Throne of Glass, too.
