So what is my dream? To write a book....
I like so many others, have a dream of writing a story that will one day be published. I would LOVE to be a published writer.
I have enjoyed writing since I was little. I remember loving to write in diaries and journals. I loved writing stories in class.
I have written some stuff, all unfinished. Because I give up. I convince myself that there isn't anyone that would be interested in the stories that I write.
I went through a short period of writing depressing poems to help me get through some personal feelings in high school and college.
But I keep coming back to wanting to write. I even like making up my own stories to entertain my daughters.

I mostly want to write Young Adult stories, but I am also interested in writing a children's book.

I did NaNoWriMo last year and started writing my first novel. I reached over my 50,000 word goal. And the first draft is a mess. And still uncompleted. (Although it is getting close!)

So right now, my dream is to finish this first WIP, by completing the first draft. Then start working on more drafts of it.

And I already have my next idea for a story. I have been collaborating with a couple of my BEST friends, and they have been helping me work through the idea and add to it. And I am so excited to start working on it.

And I just keep trying to remind myself:

And one day, hopefully my dream will come true. I just need to remember that there is not even a chance it will come true if I give up.

So I just need to keep working hard and have fun doing it.
