Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Their blog can be found here.

May 20th: Ten Books About Friendship

Here is my list of Ten Books with Awesome Friendships. (In no particular order!)

1. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares
(source)
I haven't read the books in this series, but I do know that it focuses on the friendships between four girls. (As bad as it might sound, I really liked the movie, and so I bought the books, I really need to read them.)

2. Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard
(source)
This series is about a lot more, but it does include the friendships of four girls and a friend that they lost.

3. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
(source)
I love the friendship between the guys in this book. They stand up for each other and have each other's backs.

4. The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling
I LOVE the friendships between Harry, Ron, and Hermione throughout this series. They have one of the best friendships that I have read. I also enjoy the other friendships in the books, including the relationship between Harry and Hagrid.

5. Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi
(source)
I absolutely love the friendship between Perry and Roar. They are so close they are like brothers. And I adore the friendship that blossoms between Aria and Roar.

6. Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor
(source)
The friendship between Karou and Zuzana is easily one of my favorite friendships. They are hilarious together. It is the type of friendship that makes me wish the characters were real, so they could be my friends too.

7. Cress by Marissa Meyer
(source)
Another group of friends that make me wish that I was either a character in the book, or they were all real. I love the friendship between Cinder and Iko. I love the friendships that are forming between the other characters in the book as well. Thorne and Cinder. Wolf. All of the characters in this group are amazing.

8. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
(source)
I really enjoyed the friendship between Kestrel and Jess in this book. I could tell that they really care about one another.

9. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
(source)
Another boy-girl friendship that I adore. Juliette and Kenji. I just love them so much. I love how they care about each other and have each other's backs.

10. Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
(source)
I really enjoy the friendship between Galen and Toraf. Another well written friendship that makes me laugh.

What are some of your favorite friendships from books? What about these friendships do you love the most?

  3. I had Harry Potter and Sisterhood of Traveling Pants too - I feel like my list wouldn't be legitimate if I didn't include those two series since they were the first two I thought of. I really need to read The Raven Boys!

  6. Good list, I include Harry Potter and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series on my list as well, I'm sure you'll love the books if you liked the movie since the first one is pretty similar to the first movies and I found the later books to be even better so I think you won't regret reading them. Also I actually bought the first box set of the Pretty Little Liars books because I loved the tv series although I now that the books and tv show are pretty different but I hope I'll love both.
