HOW IT WORKS:
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you visit the blogs of our illustrious hosts and leave your name on the post using using the linky tools, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
THIS WEEKS QUESTION:
Do
you post your reviews anywhere besides your blog? Where else do you
post reviews? – Suggested by A
Great Read.
MY ANSWER:
I mostly just post my reviews on my blog and Goodreads.
I have posted a few reviews other places like Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, and the Book Depository. Though I haven't posted that many in those places. (I probably should try and work on more reviews being posted on those sites.)
I also have been trying to post some more reviews on Amazon. I have a few and there are even two reviews that have gotten voted on. (Though they aren't all positive, which is probably why I haven't posted more on there...) I really should post more reviews on there as well.
I have been working on posting my reviews on Edelweiss for the books that I have read and they have on there. (Not only the review books that I have been granted access to!) I like that if I find the book in the database, I can post my review, even if it is a book that I didn't request. Not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I found the idea on Anya @ On Starships & Dragonwings' post: Guide to Getting Approved on Edelweiss. So I have been cross posting reviews there too.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
I post all my reviews on Goodreads, and while I used to post to Amazon I haven't for a really long time. I also have started adding my reviews to Edelweiss

Goodreads is my mine cross posting outlet too.
DeleteThanks so much for the follow and for stopping by my blog!
I really need to get involved with Edelweiss. I've visited but not done much, maybe it's time :)
ReplyDeleteUsually my own blog gets the review first, NetGalley if that's where the book came from and when I remember Goodreads.

I have just recently been getting a bit more involved with Edelweiss. The post that I shared in my FF post really helped me understand Edelweiss a bit better. But I still don't get approved for most of what I request. And I also limit myself to ones that I REALLY want to read.
DeleteI can't believe I left NetGalley off, but I do post my reviews there when I am approved for the e-galley.
Thank you so much for the follow and for stopping by my blog!
Yes, Edelweiss is a good place to post reviews to and Netgalley as well, and I definitely try and keep up with that. I make sure that I'm posting to Goodreads and Amazon, but I also like to utilize the new social media and post to Tsu and Medium, now. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading and Hopping Through! :)
Suz @ A Soul Unsung
That is awesome! I haven't figured out Tsu yet, though I did create an account. But I have only been on it like once since creating it. I will have to look into what Medium is. Goodreads and NetGalley/Edelweiss are my mine ones that I try to keep up with.
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :D
I'm a blog and Goodreads poster, too :) It all depends on where the book comes from - if I got approved from Netgalley, then I'll post there as well as on the blog and GR. But yeah, Amazon is fab for buying books, but for reviews... nope, it's not for me. It feels like a popularity contest, rather than honest opinions. :(
ReplyDelete(But, ooohhh, I didn't know that about EW! I prefer NG, but now I think I'll be hopping over to EW and posting lots of reviews *grins*... thanks for the tip!)
New bloglovin follower. Have a great weekend, and happy reading!
Alma @ Journey Through Fiction
I agree about Amazon. I guess I just don't really like that reviews are voted on. I get that some people will write reviews that aren't helpful, but still. I don't know. That is my mine reason for not posting them there much. Though I just keep trying to tell myself that not everyone is going to like or agree with my opinions, but it doesn't mean I should be too scared to voice them. But yeah, I definitely agree with you about the popularity thing.
DeleteAnd yay! So glad I could help. :D
Thanks so much for the follow and for stopping by!
I'm posting on my blog , GoodReads and Amazon. I didn't know about Edelweiss.

Books are my life
Sounds like you've got cross posting covered! :D
DeleteThanks for the follow and for stopping by my blog! I will definitely check yours out. :D
WHOA! You can post reviews to books you've red on Edelwiess even if you haven't gotten approved for them there? That just blew my mind! *runs to Edelwiess*
ReplyDeleteHappy FF! Old follower.
Cassi @ My Thoughts Literally
LOL! And YAY! I was pretty surprised too! I have come across a couple older books that I didn't find in the catalogs, but yep if they have the book in the catalog you can mark it as read and leave your review there. Which I think is pretty cool. :D
DeleteHappy FF to you too, Cassi!
I only post on Goodreads. Though, I want to start to post reviews on Netgalley and Edelwiess this year, let see how that goes!
ReplyDeleteCheck my #FF
I love using NetGalley and Edelweiss. I hope it goes great! :D
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I post on Goodreads, too! I'm very flaky about Amazon. I'm going to try to be better about it, though. (:
ReplyDeleteOld follower but added you on Goodreads. (:
My FF
Me too. So flaky about Amazon. I think I might have maybe 10 total reviews that I have posted on there. (give or take) but most of the time I just don't even think about posting on there. I am also trying to be better about it. Good luck!
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :D
You've got some great books listed on your reading list! I've never heard of Books-a-million and am so obsessed with Netgalley, I've never got involved with Edelweiss, but its cool that you can post reviews for books you haven't been approved for . . .I wonder if N/G has that option????!!

Thanks! Books-a-Million is a bookstore like Barnes & Noble. I haven't seen a way to post reviews that you haven't been approved for on NG. It would be really cool if that did become an option though!
