The Handmaid’s Tale meets Blood Red Road in Glass Arrow, the story of Aya, who lives with a small group of women on the run from the men who hunt them, men who want to auction off breeding rights to the highest bidder.
In a world where females are scarce and are hunted, then bought and sold at market for their breeding rights, 15-year old Aya has learned how to hide. With a ragtag bunch of other women and girls, she has successfully avoided capture and eked out a nomadic but free existence in the mountains. But when Aya’s luck runs out and she’s caught by a group of businessmen on a hunting expedition, fighting to survive takes on a whole new meaning.
Why Am I Excited For This Book?
I just want to start by saying I really like this cover. Especially the lettering for the title. I really enjoy reading dystopian books.
And this summary makes the book sound really interesting and definitely something that I will enjoy reading. And I think it is a stand-alone book. Which also excites me.
I haven't read Kristen's other books the Article 5 series, but I might have to give them a read to hold me over until February gets here. I can't wait to get a copy of this book in my hands!
Also, I just want to share that Kristen posted a The Glass Arrow Teaser Quote a couple of days ago!

What book are you waiting on this Wednesday? Are you excited for The Glass Arrow?
I had seen this one around for awhile but for some reason it wasn't on my radar until recently. It's sounds really good. I loved The Handmaid's Tale and I love that it combines that idea with a strong female protagonist fighting for survival. *adds to TBR*
